Daisy has been upset since Aaron broke up with her, and Beth finds her listening to country music, which Josh says she does after every break-up. Meanwhile, Margie tells DJ she thinks she is in love with Gabe Maddox, a guy she just recently met. DJ is skeptical.

Beth tells New Directions that they will be doing country songs this week. Tommy tells Elena they will be singing another duet, in order to make their fake relationship more believable so no one knows about their feelings for DJ and Shawn, respectively. Tommy tries to kiss Elena afterwards, and she lets him.

At Cheerios practice, Margie introduces Gabe to DJ, but when Gabe meets Rowan, the two begin flirting. Daisy agrees to be friends with Aaron again, even though she is still hoping they'll get back together. Rowan has agreed to go on a date with Gabe, but it gives birth to a rivalry between her and Margie.
